This page is about a core feature of Pillar Chase 2, meaning it is very important!

Objectives are items that Survivors can interact with in each Map to earn coins and to help win the game.

Standard Objectives[]

Objectives are very beneficial for the survivors to win earlier and decrease the chance of dying, but are not required. Objectives can be found scattered around each map in specific locations. Each map comes with either 1 or 2 objective sets containing its own objectives that generally fit the theme the map provides. Objectives can be viewed via the objective list.

To complete an objective, simply hold E (or X if you're console). Completing one objective from an objective set rewards the player by adding 2 coins to their counter. Completing one objective set reduces the timer by 7 seconds and rewards the player with a Monster chance; completing another objective set (if the map has 2) reduces the timer by another 7 seconds, but will not reward the player with another monster chance. Objectives used to be server-sided and took much longer to finish, but around the MX update they were adjusted to be client-side.

Gamemode Specific Objectives[]

Certain Gamemodes have unique objectives that require doing something different to complete. These objectives are also usually server-sided and are usually required to be completed in order to win. The only gamemodes with these unique objectives are Collectathon and Strongholds, which have since been removed from the main game but are still available in private servers.

Collectathon had a specific objective where all survivors had to work together to collect a mass amount of gems in order to open an exit and escape. Instead of holding E on an objective, survivors need to simply touch a gem in order to collect it. Whenever all gems are collected, an exit in the map opens; escaping through it gives you 2 monster chance.

Strongholds had a specific objective where all survivors had to work together to collect enough points from control points. Each map has a certain amount of control points that can appear. Every so often the control point locations on a map would change, forcing survivors to move. In order to collect points, survivors had to stand on a control point; the amount of points collected goes up depending on the number of survivors on control points. Once enough points are collected, the game ends and the survivors win.
