Elskins
Skins, as the title suggests, are alternate appearances for Monsters which can be obtained by multiple methods. They give the player the ability to have a different look when playing as a monster.
To access the skin menu of a monster, you need to select a monster and then click on the "Skins" button.

How to Obtain[]

Skins can be obtainable through different methods, usually attached to other game mechanics.

Coins[]

Most of the skins in the game can be purchased with coins, which are easy to obtain through playing rounds and doing objectives. The coin price of skins gets higher based on their rarity.

Robux[]

Some skins with the limited tag may appear on the R$ Shop, as the name suggests, it uses Robux from your Roblox account to purchase the selected skin. The robux price of skins gets higher based on their rarity. If a skin is currently for sale in the R$ Shop, it is also possible to purchase them with coins, albeit at a much higher cost than other skins of their rarity due to the Limited tag.

Leveling[]

Once you reach a specific level on a monster, you will get the corresponding level reward skin:

10 - Bronze

20 - Silver

55 - Gold

100 - Diamond

Candy[]

During the Halloween Event, some skins could be bought in the halloween shop for candy. Candy could be found across the map in multiple places and could be collected by both survivors and the monster. They were also client-sided similarly to objectives.

Presents[]

During the Christmas Event, every map had one large present hidden away on it. Collecting this present had chance to reward you with a christmas skin, although it was more likely for you to receive 10 coins.

Rarities[]

Rarities are used to determine how valuable a skin is making it go higher in price. They also indicate how much the monster changes in appearance.

Rare[]

Rare skins are recolors and do not change the appearance of the monster's model (although this rule doesnt apply to EXE and Baldi). This rarity is used for the Spiffy, Bronze, and Silver skins.
Usually go around the price of 315 coins, and when limited can be bought for 900 coins or 150 robux.
They are represented by the color blue.

Epic[]

Epic skins usually change or add something to the monster's model in a small way, sometimes they also use different textures and do not change or add something to the model. This rarity is mostly used for Gnorpy, RGB, and Gold skins.
Usually go around the price of 650 coins, and when limited can be bought for 1350 coins or 200 robux.
They are represented by the color purple.

Legendary[]

Legendary skins change the model in a bigger way, usually giving them different clothes or even transforming them into different characters. Occasionally, skins with this rarity will have different chase themes or voice lines. This rarity is used for the Diamond skins and most Event skins.
Usually go around the price of 1050 coins, and when limited can be bought for 2950 coins or 350 robux.
They are represented by the color yellow.

Ancient[]

Ancient skins change the model of the monster completely, usually making them a different character. These skins stand out from the rest due to them usually having different voice lines, chase themes, and animations.
Usually go around the price of 1950 coins, and when limited can be bought for 3250 coins.
They are represented by the color pink.

Status[]

Available[]

These skins are always available to be purchased in the shop.

Limited[]

These skins can only be obtained for a short time which makes the skin's price higher, to know what limited skins are currently available to be purchased you can check the R$ Shop in-game.
Once they leave the R$ Shop they are most likely no longer obtainable until they go on sale again. Limited skins usually become unobtainable when a game update is released.

Level Reward[]

Rank skins can only be obtained by leveling, they can't be purchased with coins even if they have a coin price.
There are 4 level skins for each monster: Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Diamond.

Outdated[]

These skins have been removed from the game and have a reworked version.

Removed[]

These skins have been removed from the game due to a specific reason. They usually are replaced by a skin with a similar theme.

Scrapped[]

These skins never made it into the game.

It's Too Late[]

This quality of skin is held by a single skin, being the L skin for MX. This skin was only available for a few hours after the release of MX and was made unobtainable ever since. However, as of Halloween Part 1, the L skin was added to the robux shop, thus converting him into a limited. He has since been removed, making him unobtainable once again.

Badge[]

These skins can only be obtained when collecting specific Roblox badges. Currently, only the Snowy skin for Niloticus has received this status, and interestingly enough, it requires you to join a separate game aside from Pillar Chase 2 in order to obtain the badge. More skins of this status may eventually be made.

Contest Winner[]

These skins are winners of community skin contests held in the discord. Contest Winner skins have higher prices than normal skins of the same rarity.

Themed Skins[]

Gnorpy[]

Gnorpy skins are skins that follow the color scheme of "Gnorpys", which are pictures of cats edited to look like aliens. These skins are anywhere from bright to dull green, and they all have a small pair of antenna sticking out of their head. These skins are Limited Epic.
The last monster to traditionally get a Gnorpy skin was EXE, however a second wave of Gnorpy skins released just before Christmas 2024, giving Uncle Samsonite, Springtrap, MX, WYST, Fuwatti, and Inkfell Gnorpy skins.

Spiffy[]

Spiffy skins follow the theme of altering a character to be black and golden. They most generally change the main body of the character to be a dark black, and the secondary colors become a shiny gold. These skins are Limited Rare skins, and are the only rare skins to change materials.
The last monster to get a Spiffy skin was The Forest King.

Stars n Stripes[]

Stars n Stripes skins were introduced on the Fourth of July 2024. They generally change the monster's clothing to have the pattern of the American Flag, and potentially alter parts of the skin to be more "patriotic". These skins are Limited Legendary.
Currently, only MX, Uncle Samsonite, and Baldi have Stars n Stripes skins.

RGB[]

RGB skins follow the trend of neon rainbow colors, often associated with gamers. The skins traditionally color the main body a pitch black, and the secondary colors are a range of glowing rainbow colors. These skins are Limited Epic. These skins are often called "Pay To Lose" by the community due to the glowing parts of each skin giving them away in the dark.
Initially, RGB skins spanned up to Niloticus, however PCX received a non-limited one a little bit after he released.

Halloween[]

Halloween skins are visually very different, although they all share a common inspirations, being something related to Halloween. These skins are Limited Legendary, with the exception of Scarecrow Fogborn, which is a Limited Ancient. These skins are only available during the Halloween season, being late October and early November.
Halloween skins spanned all monsters up to Inkfell, with the exception of Vita Mimic.

Black Friday[]

Black Friday skins are, as BladeNinja said, skins designed to purely flex your wealth, and are intentionally pay-to-lose. These skins commonly feature neon elements or emit light, as to be seen from anywhere on the map. Three of these skins have no reference, but Niloticus's skin references Burning Godzilla, and Inkfell's skin references Beast Bendy.
The monsters given Black Friday skins are Vapor, Uncle Samsonite, Niloticus, Vita Mimic, and Inkfell.

Christmas[]

Christmas skins are all visually different from the base skins, usually building off of the existing character (Baldi, Uncle Samsonite, The Forest King) or altering a Christmas object to have the qualities of the monster (The Fogborn, Fuwatti, WYST). These skins are all Limited Legendary, with the exception of Krampus Inkfell, Weird Gift WYST, and Nutcracker Fogborn, which are all Limited Ancient skins. These skins are only available during the Christmas season, being late December to the start of 2025.
Christmas skins span all monsters up to PCX, with the exceptions of Ao Oni and MX.

Pinky[]

Pinky skins are skins that make the monster pink in color. They are Limited rares and come on sale occasionally, and are a callback/callforward to the Mr. Pinky saga, a series of lobby changes that depicted Mr. Pinky being murdered by Caseohnite and three Mr. Pinky Jr.s merging to get revenge.
The only two monsters to have these are Ao Oni and Fuwatti.

Classic[]

Classic skins are skins that change the monsters into the original appearance of whatever piece of media they are inspired by or directly based on. These skins mostly range from Epic to Ancient depending on the monster, and will feature unique sound effects and animations.
The only monsters to have these are Ao Oni, Fuwatti, Jeffrey Woods, and previously PCX.
